CDL helps Network Rail in GRIP2 Design Process
Comms Design has been selected by Network Rail to help with the GRIP2 design process for the next generation RETB project in Scotland.
Due to spectrum changes brought about by the digital television switchover, the RETB radio system will need to be modernised to move to new frequency bands. This will mean renewal of radio base stations, on-train and signalling centre equipment.
Comms Design will undertake radio surveys and site planning to ensure the new system has improved radio coverage over the current system.
CDL supplied updated base station equipment to extend the life of the existing RETB system.
